For more than 20 years I’ve helped small, local businesses across Burton-on-Trent, Swadlincote and Uttoxeter attract more customers — combining modern websites, AI tools, review marketing and local advertising. When you work with me, you deal directly with me. No call centre, no account manager, no different person each time you get in touch.
How I got here
I’ve been doing this since before most businesses had a website worth having
I got my start in online marketing back in 1999, while working full-time in industrial credit management. In my spare time, I built a local directory website for my home town of Burton-on- Trent — and as it started ranking well in Google, local businesses began approaching me to help with their own websites and search rankings. That’s what set me on this path.
I went fully self-employed on 1 March 2006, and I’ve been helping local businesses ever since. The tools have changed completely in that time — from printed directories to AI-powered search — but the goal has stayed exactly the same: helping local businesses get more customers.
A bit of proof, if you want it
- Author of a 2-DVD set, Local Business Search Engine Success, reviewed by former Dragon's Den star Rachel Elnaugh, who called him an “internet marketing expert.”
- Creator of online courses on social media, SEO, web design, productivity and AI, taken by over 18,000 paying students.
- Started in online marketing in 1999, went fully self-employed on 1 March 2006, and hasn't looked back since.

The businesses I work with are my neighbours, not accounts on a spreadsheet. When your marketing works, you get more customers and I get to keep doing the work I love. That’s the only kind of growth I’m interested in.
Outside of work
A few things about me that have nothing to do with marketing
- Lives in Burton-on-Trent with his girlfriend and their two dogs.
- Chairman of The Mellow Dramatics musical theatre society, and has performed in over 50 musicals.
- Has played volleyball for Burton-on-Trent, Derby and East Staffordshire.
- Holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate.
